Reading the Bible for what it's meant to be is not just an exercise of understanding, it should be a transformative experience. For many, Bible reading is something we feel like we ought to do, and so when we read we don't allow the truth of Scripture to seep into our souls. With that, the less common practices of solitude and fasting are beautiful disciplines we can engage in to help our mind, body, and soul be more attuned to God's presence and guidance in our lives.
WEEK 5: CHURCH, SPIRITUAL GIFTS, SERVING, & WORSHIP

"I don't like church." "Worship wasn't good today." Are these things Christians should be saying? Don't these reveal a misunderstanding of what Church is and how we are supposed to be a community of believers unified in glorifying Christ and building up the body? We are called to serve- both in the church and outside the church. When we serve we worship. All these elements are integrally tied to one another as we learn more about church, worship, and serving.
WEEK 6: DISCIPLESHIP...MENTORSHIP, HOW TO MENTOR, & MAKING YOUR MENTORSHIP WORK

Jesus calls his followers to, "Go and make disciples." This is a job for ALL followers of Christ- not just church employees. If you have Christ in your life, the Holy Spirit is in you, and you can seek to help others in growing their relationship with Christ. Will it always come easy? No. But that is our calling and we can't ignore it.
WEEK 7: EVANGELISM, CELEBRATION, & LIVE IT OUT!

Jesus also call his followers to share the Good News of the Gospel to others. These chapters give us some confidence boosters to tell those in our lives about Jesus, and we must not forget that we can live everyday in celebration of what God has done, is doing, and will do!
